Connecting Charlotte’s Homeless Community with Resources, Dignity, and Hope

OneStop Charlotte is a recurring unhoused Resource Festival that brings together nonprofits, healthcare providers, legal aid organizations, and community partners to deliver essential services — all in one welcoming space.

Held monthly at rotating locations across the city, the festival eliminates transportation barriers and ensures that every person in need has access to help, no matter where they are. Each event provides on-site medical care, mental health support, ID recovery, grooming, food, clothing, and connections to housing and employment opportunities.

Our Purpose

Charlotte is home to thousands of residents facing homelessness or housing instability. Accessing support often requires navigating scattered services across the city — a challenge made even harder without transportation or internet access.
OneStop Charlotte brings those resources to them.

By meeting people where they are, we reduce barriers, build trust, and help individuals take the next step toward stability and independence.

What Happens at Each Festival

Each site features clearly defined service zones, ensuring that visitors can easily find what they need:

  • Medical Zone – Health screenings, vaccinations, HIV testing, and mobile clinics

  • Mental Health & Recovery Zone – Counseling, rehab referrals, and peer support

  • Housing & Shelter Zone – Emergency shelter intake and housing assistance

  • Legal & ID Zone – Document recovery, expungements, and legal aid

  • Employment & Benefits Zone – Job readiness programs and on-site hiring

  • Showers & Grooming Zone – Mobile showers, barbers, and hygiene services

  • Food & Community Zone – Free meals, hydration stations, and community connection

Modeled After Proven Success

OneStop Charlotte is inspired by successful programs in cities like San Diego, Houston, and Atlanta, where coordinated, mobile service festivals have transformed how communities support their unhoused neighbors.

These cities have demonstrated that consistent, centralized events—where government agencies, nonprofits, and volunteers work side by side—create measurable progress in health outcomes, housing connections, and long-term recovery. Our model adapts that same proven approach to meet Charlotte’s unique local needs and build a stronger, more connected community.

Collaboration at the Core

The festival is built on partnership. Effort to Impact coordinates logistics, outreach, and volunteer engagement — but the true power of OneStop Charlotte comes from the shared effort of organizations working together for one purpose: making help accessible to everyone.
